Kiera Nieuwejaar
Co-Founder & Educational Director
Kiera holds a B.A. in Religion from Wesleyan University and a Ph.D. in Philosophy and Education from Teachers College, Columbia University, where her research focused on progressive educational philosophy. She was a preschool and early elementary school teacher for 5 years, teaching in Massachusetts, Brooklyn, and Manhattan. Kiera has also taught undergraduate and graduate courses in educational philosophy at Teachers College, Rutgers University, and Barnard College.
